Beaumont Police Department Explorers go to competition

BEAUMONT, July 22, 2013-- The Beaumont Police Department Explorer Post #730 competed in the Texas State Competition in Arlington, this weekend.  They competed in law enforcement related scenarios against 76 other teams representing police departments from across the state. Sgt. Rob Flores, Jr. wrote in a press release, “The team did Beaumont proud.”

Th team placed first in four scenarios, “Response to Active Shooter”, “Crisis Negotiation”, “Arrest, Search, and Seizure”, and “Response to Downed Officer.”

They placed second in two scenarios, “Felony Traffic Stop” and “Traffic Accident Investigation.” 

They placed third in two scenarios, “Response to Robbery-in-Progress” and “Bomb Scene Search.”

Beaumont Police Department is very proud of the Explorer Scouts and police officers who train them.
