Palacios woman arrested for possession of Methamphetamine

BAY CITY, May 4,2017--- A Palacios woman was arrested on Monday night for possession of Methamphetamine

On May 2nd at 10:40 p.m., Officer Daniel Shook attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2100 block of 7th Street for no visible license plate.

The vehicle fled from Officer Shook.

Officer Shook continued to pursue the vehicle until the 2500 block of Sycamore where it came to a stop.

At the time of the stop, a male and female exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officer Shook was able to

apprehend the female who was identified as Debra A. Wheaton, 45, out of Palacios.

The male subject was not apprehended at the time.

The investigation also led to the discovery of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine.

Wheaton was transported to the jail and booked in on the charges of Evading Arrest/Detention with a Motor Vehicle, Manufacture/Delivery

of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
